Miscreants try to set fire to stall

Miscreants attempted to set fire to a book stall in the month-long Amar Ekushey Boi Mela yesterday, reports UNB Officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station AB Siddique said a group of miscreants set fire to a heap of papers behind the stall, Platform, around 6pm. Sensing the fire, stall employees along with the help of fair visitors doused the blaze before fire fighters reached the spot, he said, adding that fire could not cause any damage. “We’re trying to identify the miscreants scrutinising the video footage,” the OC said.
