National Team Committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) summoned seven players of the national team to clarify the allegations which were brought against them including disciplinary problem during Bangabandhu Gold Cup and SAFF Football tournament.
Meanwhile, the fact finding committee formed by the BFF, brought the allegation against captain Mamuul Islam, Jahid Hossain, Yamin Ahmed Munna, Sohel Rana, Atiqur Rahman Meshu, Yasin Khan and goalkeeper Shahidul Alam Sohel.
Kazi Nabil Ahmed, chairman of the NTC after a meeting told the reports yesterday that if the charges proved to be true then they will have to see punishment and if not then they will be free to continuer their playing career.
But none of them will be called in the preliminary squad of the upcoming World Cup qualifying match against Jordan before the verdict, Nabil said.
“Fact finding committee has already submitted their report bringing allegation on the disciplinary ground against some of the players and we strictly reviewed that, and we have suspected seven of the players breaking code of conduct. The alleged players will be issued show-cause notice tomorrow (today) to face three members of the NTC committee for their self defense by three days,” said Nabil.
