Mime Art, one of the most popular pantomime troupes in the country, will stage its second mime production titled ‘Jeman Karmo Teman Phal’ at Amar Ekushey Boi Mela on February 28.
The production is written and directed by popular mime artiste Nithor Mahbub. Divided into 14 parts and spanning more than an hour, the comic play will depict the struggles and wrongdoings that common people of the society face every now and then.
Mime Art’s new production will also illustrate the contemporary scenario of some burning issues of the society like religion, politics, and violence against women, eve teasing, contaminated food and others.
The probable cast of the play includes Faysal, Tutul, Shuvo, Amaresh, Sudhangshu, Apurba, Sabuj and Munia. Hendri has designed the lighting for the production, while the director himself worked on costume, makeup, props and stage design.
Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation with the support of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, has arranged the show at the open yard of Suhrawardy Udyan.
