Chief of the Air Staff of Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, arrived in the capital yesterday on a five-day official visit which is expected to take the existing defence cooperation between the two countries to the next level, reports UNB.
During his visit, Arup Raha, also the Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Indian Defence Forces, would meet various dignitaries, services Chief and officials, according to Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
He will also be visiting various Air Force bases in the country and will also gift advanced training aids comprising of aircraft sub assemblies to the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur.
The Indian Air Force Chief will also gift airframe of Alloute aircraft to the Liberation War Museum.
He is expected to meet President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the visit that will continue till February 25.
