At least six people still remained missing in Thursdays’ trawler capsize in the Meghna River in Manpura as no more body was recovered yesterday, reports UNB. Although the administration started the operation on Friday morning, no body could be fished out from the river till filing of this report at 6pm. Meanwhile, relatives of the missing people thronged the bank of the river in search of their near and dear ones. Officer-in-charge of Manpura Police Station Hanif Sikder said six people remained missing in the launch capsize. However, locals claimed the number to be 10. Besides, the local administration has formed a five-member committee, headed by additional magistrate M Manwar Hossain, to investigate the incident. In another development, police arrested Sumon, staff of the capsized trawler, Friday morning. Earlier on Thursday morning, eight people, including four children, died and 20 went missing as the trawler carrying around 100 passengers capsized in the Meghna River in Manpura upazila.
