�Snatcher� lynched in Mymensingh

A suspected snatcher was beaten to death by an angry mob at Kanhor in Trishal upazila on Tuesday night.
The victim was identified as Hafizur Rahman, 30, of Vollah village in Kalihati upazila of Tangail.
Officer-in-Charge of Trishal Police Station M Maniruzzaman said a group of muggers snatched a motorbike on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at around 7.30 pm.
As local people chased the muggers while they were fleeing with the motorbike the criminals fired gunshots, leaving a young man injured.
At one stage, local people managed to catch one of the snatchers and gave him a tremendous trashing, leaving him dead on the spot. The injured man Al Amin, 18, a brick field labourer, was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
