Developer company fined in Ctg

A mobile court of Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) yesterday fined a developer company Tk 50,000 in Jamal Khan area of the city for renting out parking space of a residential building as a shop.
Khin One Nu, executive magistrate of CDA led the drive. The court also demolished extended portion of another building, which was built beyond the approved design of CDA.
However, affected businessmen claimed that CDA conducted the drives without serving any prior notice to them.
They shut down their shops yesterday in protest against CDA’s drives to demolish illegal structure.
