13 Jamaat men held in Laxmipur

Laxmipur: Police in a drive arrested 13 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami while they were allegedly holding a clandestine meeting at Mandari Bazar in sadar upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB. Chandraganj upazila unit Jamaat ameer Nazmul Islam was among the arrestees. AKM Azizur Rahman Miah, officer-in-charge of Chandra-ganj police station, said based on secret information, a team of police conducted a raid on the Jamaat office and arrested the 13 men while they were holding a secret meeting there in the morning.
