Nilphamari: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members picked up a Bangladeshi fisherman from the Teesta River in Dimla upazila on Monday evening, reports UNB. The victim was identified as Mosharraf Hossain, 35, of Charkhibari village in the upazila. Tepakhribari union parishad chairman Rabiul Islam Shahin said BSF members from Teesta slum camp picked up Mosharraf from the river while he was catching fish in Charkhibari joint damp area.
Contacted, Charkhibari Border Guard (BGB) camp commander Nayek Subedar Mohsin Ali Chowdhury said they sent a letter to the BSF seeking the return of the Bangladeshi national.
