Youth hacked to death in Bogra

A man was hacked to death over land dispute in Colony area on Monday night.  The deceased has been identified as Sahin Mia, 35, of Chalk Farid area of the town. Aslam Ali, inspector (Investigation) of Bogra sadar police, said there was a dispute over a piece of land between Sahin and Golam Maola. On Monday at around 10.30pm, the two locked in an altercation over the issue. At one stage, Golam Maola stabbed Sahin indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. Police arrested three people in this connection. They are Aktaruzzaman, 65, Ferroza Begum, 48, and Rozi Begum, 25, wife of Golam Maola. Abul Bashar, OC of sadar police, said the arrestees have been sent to jail.
