Standard Chartered Bank in association with Bangladesh Brand Forum will celebrate 3rd “Agrow Award” on March 27 to encourage people engaged in agriculture sector, said a press statement yesterday.
The announcement came at a press conference held yesterday at a hotel in the capital jointly organised by Standard Chartered Bank and Bangladesh Brand Forum.
Shariful Islam, founder of Bangladesh Brand Forum, and Bitopi Das Chowdhury, head of Corporate Affairs, Standard Chartered Bangladesh, came up with the announcement.
The “Agrow Award” is an attempt to recognise individuals and organisations that have played exemplary roles through innovation and hard work, said the speakers.
This year, the award will be presented on seven different categories, namely Best Agricultural Organization in Research and Innovation, Best Agricultural Organisation in Support and Execution, Best Agricultural Exporter, Farmer of the Year – Male, Farmer of the Year – Female, and Farmer of the Year - Subsistence Market Farmer Group; and the newly introduced category Best Use of Technology in Agriculture.
