UGC's meeting held

The 143th Full-Commission meeting of UGC was held at the University Grants Commission (UGC) auditorium in the capital yesterday, reports BSS.
Professor Abdul Mannan, chairman of UGC, presided over the meeting while Secretary for Ministry of Education Sohrab Hossain, Member of Socio-Economic
Infrastructure of Planning Commission Abdul Mannan, UGC members Prof Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Prof Dil Afroza Begum, Prof M Akhtar Hossain, Prof M Shah Nowaz Ali and Prof M Ali Akbar were present, said a press release.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Bangladesh Agricultural University Prof Mohammad Alauddin, VC of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology Prof Selina Perveen, VC of Noakhali University of Science and Technology Prof M Wahiduzzaman and UGC Secretary Dr M Khaled attended the meeting, among others.
The meeting took important decisions on the activities of cross border higher education and approved pension facilities of recently retired UGC officials.
