Bangladesh men’s football team collect bronze medal in the ongoing 12th SA Games after defeating Maldives by 5-4 in the penalty shootout when their stipulated time ended in a 2-2 draw.
Played at the Indira Ghandi Stadium in Guwahati, in a hard fought third place play-off match, Jibon led Bangladesh at the early stage and Sohel Rana scored the other for Bangladesh while Ali Fasir scored both goals for Maldives.
