Prisoner dies in Sherpur

A prisoner serving a jail term died at Sherpur Sadar Hospital early yesterday. District Jailer Ismail Hossain said Jewel Mia, 31, an inhabitant of Nabinagar in Sadar municipality, who was arrested in a drug case on February 10, died at the hospital at 8:30pm while undertaking treatment. Sadar Hospital RMO Mobarak Hossain said Jewel was admitted to the hospital with urine infection. He might have died due to kidney failure, said hospital sources.
