Woman killed as scarf gets tangled with wheel
A housewife was killed as her scarf got tangled with one of the wheels of a human-hauler in Bhatara area of the capital yesterday. The victim was known as Anamika Sarker, wife of Palash Sarker of East Bhatara. Sources said Anamika along with her two twin sons, aged around 7, and a neighbour was going to a market in Shahjadpur area by the human-hauler, a battery-run three-wheeler, in the afternoon. When they reached Natun Bazar, the housewifes scarf got tangled with a wheel of the vehicle around 5:30pm. Anamika was strangled as the scarf tightened around her neck, leaving her unconscious.
