Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu yesterday claimed that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is now doing the politics of flattering India shunning her anti-India stance, reports UNB. “In the recent days, Begum Khaleda Zia is doing the politics of flattering India like a lord and lodging complaints to the lord,” he said while talking to reporters after a views-exchange meeting with the local administration and party leaders at Kushtia Circuit House in the morning. Inu said as the BNP chief is not in a favourable position in the politics of Bangladesh, she is now trying to talk in favour of India changing her previous stance. “We think a friend can never be a lord,” he added. He also alleged that Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia allowed third party to use the soil of Bangladesh. Criticising British High Commissioner Robert Gibson for expressing concern over the city election irregularities, the information minister said it is the responsibility of Bangladesh to oversee the polls anomalies, if any. “There’s nothing for a foreign country to be delighted or frustrated in this regard,” he added.
