Two teenage boys rescued from Myanmar boarder with 150 Bangladeshis have been handed over to their families at Tangail Red Crescent Office on Thursday evening. The teens are identified as Uzzol Hossain, 16, son of Abdul Jalil of village Katuli and Shahadat Hossain, 17, son of Zohir Uddin of village Dhul Char in Sadar upazila. The family members, secretary of Tangail district unit of Red Crescent Society MA Rouf, officers of Red Crescent Society were present on the occasion. The victims told the journalists that human traffickers lured them into a boat to offer good jobs in Malaysia three months ago. After drifting for three months in the sea they were offloaded from the boat and kept in camp on the Myanmar border 108 days. They narrated the horrifying tales of their life in the sea. The government brought them back to Bangladesh on Monday last through Ghum Dhum boarder. The family members expressed their joys after getting back their sons and expressed gratitude to the government. They also demanded punishment to the human traffickers.
