NATORE: Two suspected robbers were killed in a mob-attack at Chaura in Singra upazila on Thursday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Momin and Sihab. Local people said Enamul Haque withdrew Tk 10 lakh from Bogra Nandigram branch of Islami Bank on Thursday afternoon. When Enamul reached Chaura area on way to his home at Chougram village in Singra upazila, a gang of nine robbers swooped on him and snatched away the bag containing the money. Hearing screams, local people rushed in and caught the robbers and gave them a good beating, leaving Momin dead on the spot. Later the eight injured robbers were rushed to Singra Upazila Health Complex where Sihab succumbed to his injures at midnight. The injured robbers were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital as their condition was stated to be critical. However, police recovered the looted money and arrested Shaheen, driver of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, along with his vehicle in connection with the incident.
