PTI, Guwahati: A senior Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) official Ahsan Ahmed on Tuesday said he was threatened by an official of the South Asian Games (SAG) during their women's football match against the Maldives in the day.
Ahsan, head of the media division of the BFF, told journalists at the post-match press conference that the incident occurred when he was walking towards the end of the goal-post where the Bangladeshi substitutes were warming up at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here.
“He (SAG Official) used slang words and threatened to throw me out of the stadium,” Ashan said after lodging a complaint with the chef de mission of Bangladesh, Ashikur Rahman Miku.
“I am also an AFC (Asian Football Confederation) match commissioner. I know the rules of the game.”
