Bangladesh has expressed its deep concern over the recent rocket launch by North Korea and described the incident as a clear violation of related United Nations Security Council resolutions.
“Bangladesh is deeply concerned about the recent rocket launch by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). This is a clear violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions,” a foreign ministry press release said yesterday.
“Bangladesh hopes that the DPRK would exercise restraint and refrain from any action that might escalate the tension on the Korean Peninsula,” it added. On Sunday, North Korea launched a satellite in the orbit, drawing widespread condemnation from the international community.
