Robbery at two houses in Sylhet

Robbers looted gold, cash and foreign currency from a two houses, including an expatriate’s house living in Spain in the city’s Sayedpur Kadimpara area early yesterday.
Local and police said, a gang of armed robbers numbering 25 to 30 entred the house of expatriate Shahed Ahmed breaking open gate and door and held the house members hostage at gunpoint.  They looted 10 gold bars, 3,000 Euro and Taka 50,000. Later robbers entered the house of another person at the ground floor of the same building and looted the valuables, including  15 gold bars and Taka 80,000. After committing the robbery, they escaped the scene with the booty. While escaping, locals caught the one of the robbers.
