Dense fog has disrupted flight operations at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital yesterday, airport officials said.
"No international flights landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport since 6 am to 9 am yesterday due to dense fog . . . And nine scheduled international aircraft did not land here from 7 am to 9 am yesterday," ASP of Armed Police Battalion (ABPn) Morshed Khan told BSS yesterday morning.
He added: "The last flight landed here at 5:50 am while no flight left the airport till filing of the report at 9:20 am." Meanwhile, the Met office confirmed that dense fog caused poor visibility disrupting normal public life yesterday morning.
"Problems of low visibility will disappear after two or three hours," Met office spokesman Hafizur Rahman said.
