3 siblings sued over assault on woman

Benapole: A case has been filed against three siblings on charge of assaulting a woman at Boro Meghla village in Sadar upazila, reports UNB.
Abul Kashem, officer-in charge of Sadar Police Station, said Shefali Begum, 40, wife of Nur Islam, a resident of the village, filed the case against Nur Mohammad, Nur Ali and Jakir Hossain, sons of Monir Uddin, a resident of the same village, on Tuesday around 9.30pm accusing them of assaulting her.
Victim’s family sources said the trio assaulted Shefali Begum on Tuesday afternoon while she was trying to prevent them from grabbing forcibly a piece of land owned by her and her daughters, leaving her injured.
Later, locals rescued her and sent her to a local clinic.
