50 injured in clash in Habiganj

HABIGANJ: At least 50 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups at Haldarpur village under Baniachong upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS.
Police said the clash ensued between the groups of the village over a trivial matter yesterday morning.As a sequel to enmity both the groups equipped with lethal weapons attacked each other, leaving 50 people injured.
The injured were sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital and Baniachong Upazila Health Complex.Being informed, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, said officer-in-charge of Baniachong Thana Nirmalendu Chakrobarti.
