Art Competition in memory of language martyrs

In memory of the language martyrs, JCI Dhaka West, a local chapter of JCI Bangladesh, is going to host an art competition titled Battle of the Brush with the youngsters from different schools in the city. Divided into two segments, the preliminary round of the competition has been scheduled to take place at the premises of the respective schools on February 12 and the grand finale will be held on February 23 at the premises of Shishu Academy, Shahbag in the capital. The registration for participating in this competition will conclude today. In recognition of the talent, a lucrative amount of prize money will be awarded to the winners. Besides, the top 50 artworks will be exhibited in various art galleries and the collected money will be donated for the education of differently disabled children. The purpose of the programme is to inspire the young generation to value and learn about the significance of International Mother Language Day, and to ignite them to create with unbounded imagination. This also includes ensuring equal pedagogical opportunity for differently disabled children. The artworks--those will be selected for final round--will be invigilated by the talented artists of Unmad, while prominent cartoonist and chief editor of Unmad Ahsan Habib will also be present as chief guest at the final event.
