Newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla has said that his mandate is to implement the very important decisions taken by the Prime Ministers of both the countries during Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh. Speaking to reporters after his maiden meeting with Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali at the latter’s office yesterday, Shringla also said that he will look at ways to further strengthen and expand the close relationship between the two neighbours. The Indian envoy sought the support of the foreign minister to advance the relationship. “I sought his advice, guidance and blessings to fulfil my mandate to further strengthen our close bilateral ties and cooperation. The foreign minister is very kind to give his assurance of providing every support from the foreign ministry,” he said.
