Under the theme of “Transforming to Sustainable Retail Business,” the first summit on retail business in Bangladesh was held on Saturday at Le Meridien, Dhaka, says a press release.
Presented by Yellow, Bangladesh Retail Congress organised the summit in association with Apex.
The sessions and discussions addressed the current trends in retail business, the challenges, and growth prospects, and how a sustainable growth can be ensured through a cooperative eco-system.
Organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF), Bangladesh Retail Congress designed to be a knowledge platform to discuss key areas in retail business, talk about macro-economic factors, share consumer trends, explore technology innovation, business strategy etc to help local retailers maximize value creation and business growth.
The summit was addressed by--Christophe Echivard, CEO of Agora Supermarkets; Moshiur Rahman, director, marketing of HATIL Complex Ltd; Shaheen Khan, chief executive officer of Meena Bazar; and Syed Naved Husain, group director of Beximco Limited and CEO of Beximco Textiles.
Syed Nasim Manzur, managing director of Apex Footwear Ltd, Sabbir Hasan Nasir, executive director of ACI Logistics Limited (Shwapno), Niaz Rahim, director of Rahimafrooz Group, and Rezaul Kabir, DGM- Business Development of Epyllion Group, were panel discussants.
