Prime Minister’s Office and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) held a meeting on Annual Performance Agreement (APA) on Wednesday.
Abul Kalam Azad, principal secretary of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), presided over a meeting to implement APA between PMO and BEPZA at BEPZA Complex in the capital. Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, executive chairman of BEPZA, was also present in the meeting, says a press release.
This meeting was arranged with BEPZA officials on APA as government is going to introduce a new concept of annual performance to implement Vision-2021.
Government has taken this initiative with their respective organisations to ensure institutional accountability, transparency, proper use of public resources, uphold the organisational success in a quantitative way and improvement of the organisational efficiency in public sector as a tool of performance managements.
Abul Kalam Azad said: “BEPZA is directly under Prime Minister’s Office, that’s why we are going to implement this APA with BEPZA as a model. As part of this initiative, the vision, mission, objectives and activities of the organisations have been reviewed in detail”.
