Sea robber arrested in Laxmipur

Police arrested a listed sea robber along with a rifle from Boyarchar area of Ramgati upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Badsha Miah, a listed pirate and accused in several cases, including for robbery and abduction, filed with Ramgati police station.
Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, officer-in-charge of the police station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area early in the morning while a gang of pirates was preparing for committing robbery.
Police arrested Badsha while others managed to flee sensing the presence of the law enforcers. They also recovered a rifle from the spot, added the OC.
