Huge cigarettes seized at Dhaka airport

Customs intelligence officials seized 30,000 contraband cigarettes at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here on Friday, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of customs intelligence officials conducted a drive at the lost and found section of the airport at noon and recovered the cigarettes from three unaccompanied luggages, said Mainul Khan, director general of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate. The cigarettes contained in 150 cartons were brought to Dhaka by ‘EY253’ flight of Etihad Airways from Dubai that landed at the airport around 8:15pm on Thursday.
