Businessman shot dead

Unidentified miscreants shot dead a businessman entering his shop at Mirpur area in the capital yearly yesterday.  The victim was identified as Shahidul Islam Rusel, 40, owner of Medicare Pharmacy in Mirpur-11. He was son of one Abdul Mannan, a resident of Mirpur- 11. Talking to The Independent, Inspector Dadon Fakir, officer-in-charge of Pallabi police station said some miscreants opened fire at Rusel around 10am at shop leaving him critically injured. Later locals sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) but the on-duty doctors declared him dead around 1:30am.  The body was kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
