Slaughtered body of a Bangladeshi cattle trader was recovered from Kolmudanga border area in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam, son of Mostafa, a resident of the same village.
Locals spotted the slaughtered body of Shahidul lying in the area on Thursday morning and informed the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
Later, the border force recovered the body from the spot.
Local people alleged that Shahidul went out the house on Wednesday night to bring cattle from India.
Later, BSF members slaughtered Shahidul while he was entering Indian territory to bring cattle from there in the dead of night and left the body in Kolmudanga border area.
BGB-14 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Hossain denied the allegation saying that BSF members did not kill Shahidul.
