�Pure drinking water supply to be ensured�

RANGPUR: Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) and valiant freedom fighter Alhaj Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu reiterated his pledge for ensuring pure drinking water supply for every citizen in the city, reports BSS.
He said this while launching the construction works of Water Supply Pipe Lines using six-inch diameter pipes for the citizens of the Ward No-23 at a ceremony in Jummapara Pakar Matha Eidgah Ground area in the city on Monday afternoon as the chief guest. The RCC and Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) are implementing construction works of the five-kilometre Water Supply Pipe Lines here under ‘Water Supply in 37 District Head Quarters Project’ at Taka 52 lakh.
City Councilors Sekendar Ali, Haradhan Chandra Roy and Hasna Banu, Executive Engineer of RCC Azam Ali, Executive Engineer of DPHE Al Amin, attended the ceremony as the special guests.
While addressing the ceremony, the City Mayor said massive infrastructural uplift works are being implemented for building a well-planned, modern, traffic-jam free and eco-friendly Rangpur city ensuring all civic amenities.
“Every city dwellers will get pure and hygienic drinking water with all other civic facilities after completion of the construction works,” he said.
