New mayor of Monohardi takes charge

NARSINGDI: The newly elected Mayor of Monohardi  Pourashava Aminur Rashid Sujan took charge this afternoon at a function held  at the pourashava auditorium, reports BSS.
Local MP Nurul Mojid Mahmud Humaiyun attended the function as the chief guest. Former Mayor of Monohardi Pourashava Afajuddin Miah was in the chair.
The chief guest in his speech said the wings of the local government are the main workforce of a country. He said the present government is relentlessly working to strengthen the activities of local government.
The MP said through digitization all the people are being brought under 'e- commerce' net working. People are now getting necessary government services easily from the Union Information Services Centers (UISC).
