Bangladesh cant afford to relax

Hosts have to beat Namibia to avoid India
Sports Reporter

Bangladesh couldn’t afford to have relaxed even though they confirmed the quarterfinal stage after two effortless victories. In their last group phase today at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, the hosts will take on Namibia, a team that appeared as the surprise package of the tournament. The match which starts at 9 am will be telecasted live.
Little did anyone think that the Namibia could make it quarterfinal when the Group A was boasted with defending champions South Africa and hosts Bangladesh.  But they made the unthinkable a realistic one at the expense of South Africa whom they beat by two wickets, following their nine-wicket win over Scotland.
If they could spring one more surprise, they would avoid India in the quarterfinal stage. Instead they would get Nepal and chances will be high for them to move even into the semi-final stage. But to make it realistic, they first would have to beat hosts Bangladesh, who despite their unpredictable top-order have been in good form.
India and Bangladesh are regarded as the favourites of the tournament and no teams certainly would like to meet each other at least in quarterfinal stage.
On Paper, Bangladesh will start the match as favourite but the big advantage what Namibia will get is that they have nothing to loss. While Bangladesh are under pressure to deliver the goods at their home den, Namibia have no such expectation. This will what acts in their favour.
If everything goes according to the plan, the match should be mismatch given the form Bangladesh are going on. Even though the top order couldn’t click according to the expectation, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and captain Mehidy Hassan Miraj, played truly well to amend the mistakes. But if the law of average intervenes, one of the two could have a bad day in the office. The apprehension lies there which is why the team management tries to inspire the top order to fire.
The bowlers have been doing their job well so far. All of the bowlers chipped-in-with good and accurate bowling according to the expectation.
Meanwhile, the ICC has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2016 has approved Mossabek Hossain Sun as a replacement player for Sanjit Saha in Bangladesh’s squad for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2016.
Sanjit’s bowling action was found to be illegal on Sunday, and, as such, he cannot bowl in international cricket until such time that he submits himself to an independent assessment of his bowling action, which will be conducted by an appointed specialist at an ICC Accredited Testing Centre pursuant to the ICC Standard Analysis Protocols, which, in turn, has to conclude that he has remedied his action.
