Three to die for murder

RANGPUR: A court yesterday sentenced three accused persons to death and another accused man to life term rigorous imprisonment for murdering a poor vegetables trader in Pirgachha upazila in the district 22 years back, reports BSS. Additional District and Sessions Judge Abu Jafar Md Kamruzzaman of the Additional District and Sessions Judge Court-2 of Rangpur announced the verdict in presence of the convicts in a crowded courtroom yesterday noon. According to prosecution, accused persons Abdus Sattar, Nur Mohammad, Abdul and Farhad Hossain of village Chhoto Kallyani under Pirgachha upazila called out victim Abu Siddik, son of Azim Uddin of the same village at night on October 2 in 1993.
