�Raham Alir Putul Nach� at EMK Center today

A locally composed music performance titled ‘Raham Alir Putul Nach’ (Doll Dance of Raham Ali) by chamber orchestra along with the narration of a story will be held today at EMK Center, Dhanmondi in the city. 

‘Raham Alir Putul Nach’ is a fictional story of a puppet master from a remote village, who stages his puppet shows throughout the remote rural communities. Later, he leaves the rural fields with a view to moving towards the city in search of a better living, more fame and success. However, his life in the city becomes unexpectedly complex, when he is compelled to deal with fraudulent characters. Raham struggles through the toxic and ugly sides of the city life- facing his dreams being shattered and watching the loss of his livelihood and his most loyal companion. Understanding his essence lying into the country life, Raham returns home to embrace himself and seek for the happiness the lies within. 
Classical Music Academy (CMA) director Iftekhar Anwar has authored the story ‘Raham Alir Putul Nach’ and composed the background music to go along with the narration.
The performance will be presented to the audience through storytelling- depicted by a narrator- and an original music score performed by the CMA orchestra group. CMA orchestra includes 21 talented musicians playing the violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, guitar and regional instrument as such tabla, dhol, and mondira.
‘Raham Alir Putul Nach’ will be followed by four orchestral performances which are--Secret Garden by Rolf Lovland, God Father Theme by Nino Rota, Autumn Leaves by Joseph Cosma and Dhono Dhanno Pushpe Vora by Dijendrolal Roy. 
The show is open to all, while entry ticket is available at BDT 100 at the EMK Center before the event today.
