Kishoreganj: A man allegedly stabbed his mother to death over family feud at Doriakandi village in Bajitpur upazila on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Somonto Banu, 70, wife of late Dhonu Mia, a resident of the village. Police said Jalal Mia, 32, son of Somonto Banu, locked into an altercation with his mother over a family fued on Tuesday noon.
At one stage, Jalal stabbed in his mother’s throat with a sharp weapon, leaving her dead on the spot.
Jalal Mia used to work as a lineman at a Easy-bike stand in the locality. He went into hiding after the incident.
On information, police recovered the body of the deceased and sent it to Sadar Adhunik Hospital morgue for autopsy.
