Trawler capsizes in Meghna

A cement-laden trawler capsized in the Meghna River near Ishmanichar area in Gazaria upazila of the district today.
A Comillla-bound cement-laden cargo vessel ‘Mama-Bhagina’ from Muktarpur sank in the river at around 11 am, said local people.
However, three people on the trawler managed to swam ashore.
Sub-Inspector of Gazaria police ABMS Doha said reason behind the trawler capsize could not be known immediately.
