Nearly 975 telephone lines of Bangladesh Telecommu-nications Company Limited (BTCL) under Jatrabari exchange in the capital was disconnected due to stolen cable, reports BSS.
BTCL clients in Sain board, Tushar dhara, Giri dhara, Bhuigar, Saddam Market, Medical road, Shaheed nagar, Muzahid nagar, Habib nagar, Rayerbag, Khanka Sharif, Madinabag, Meraj nagar, Mohammadbag, Sritidhara, Janatabag, Shanir Akhra, Muslim nagar, Inu Patti, Madrasa bazaar and Hashem road areas have been now remained out of connection, said a BTCL press release here yesterday.
BTCL is working for the reinstatement of the disconnected telephone lines and expecting to make those active within 5/6 days.
The authority of BTCL regretted to its valued customers for the unexpected inconvenience, the release added.
