96 arrested with yaba, liquor in Ctg

Chittagong district police in a series of drives arrested 96 persons including an Islami Chhatra Shibir activist from different Upazilas of the district on Tuesday night. Abdul Awal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district, reports BSS.

The detainees included 85 wanted on different charges and 10 accused in regular cases, he said.
Another report adds: Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a drive detained a female drug trader with 500 pieces of yaba tablets from city's Bakalia area in the early hours of yesterday.
