IU student suspended IU Correspondent desecrate
Islamic University authorities have temporarily suspended a second year student of Bangla department and handed him over to a mobile court for insulting picture of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on a social media site. The student -- Mehedi Hasan -- who hails from Bogra, was earlier allegedly beaten up by a group of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) IU unit on the same ground.Proctor Dr Mahbubur Rahman said Mehedi has been temporarily suspended following a decision taken at an emergency meeting yesterday; and later he was handed over him to a mobile court.
