800 poor eye patients treated in Panchagarh

Poor eye patients were treated by a group of doctors at a daylong free eye-camp yesterday. Debiganj upazila parishad and Dinajpur Gausul Azam Eye Hospital jointly organised the eye camp at Debiganj Alodini Government Girl High School premises. Debiganj upazila nirbahi officer M Safiqul Islam inaugurated the camp as the chief guest. Former UP chairman Babul Islam, eye camp committee treasurer M Khurshed Alam Saho, committee member  Moffazel Hossein, Babul Hossein, journalists, local elite were present on the occasion. A team of seven doctors, led by eye specialist Dr Wahida Begum, conducted the camp. Some 40 poor eye patients underwent cataract operation.
