Youth held with pistol in Rajshahi

Members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a young man along with a foreign pistol, five rounds of bullets and two magazines from a bus on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway at Bijoynagar in Godagari upazila yesterday afternoon, reports UNB. The arrestee was identified as Abdur Rahman, 30, a resident of Seikhtala area in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district. Sub-inspector Rahul Amin of the DB said on a tip off, a team of the law enforcers conducted a drive in a Rajsahi-bound bus at the area around 1pm and arrested Abdur Rahman along with the arms and ammunitions. A case was with Godagari Police Station in this connection, the SI added.
