Altaf Mahmood undergoes surgery

President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Altaf Mahmood has been operated upon at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) yesterday after being detected with problems in his spinal cord, repor6ts BSS.
The operation was conducted by Professors Kanak Kanti Barua and Dhiman Chowdhury, hospital sources said.
Earlier, the hospital authorities had formed a six-member medical board for the treatment of Altaf Mahmood.
