The first phase of the festival is taking place simultaneously in Dhaka, Rajshahi and Sylhet among 15 venues. The second phase of the festival will be held in Chittagong on February, then in Barisal, Rangpur and Khulna in March.
The first phase of the festival will feature over 150 films from 30 countries at the 15 venues of three divisional cities. The Shawkat Osman auditorium and Central Public Library premises are the main venues for the festival in Dhaka, where four screenings will take place every day at 11 am, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm. Other venues in Dhaka are—Bangladesh National Museum, Alliance Française de Dhaka in Dhanmondi and Daffodil International University.
