Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Tuesday night with knee problems, reports UNB.
Jatiya Party presidium member ATU Taj Rahman said the JP Chief Ershad was admitted to the CMH on Tuesday night as he fell ill on the way to Dhaka from Barisal around 9 pm.
Meanwhile, the convention of Sunamganj district unit JP has been postponed.
The former military ruler, who turned 85 on March this year, regularly flies to Singapore for health check-ups.
But he has not been admitted to a Bangladesh hospital in the last eighteen months after he was 'confined' in Dec 2013 ahead of the national elections.
