Bodies of two arson victims -- Nuruzzaman Paplu, 50, a contractor of Jessore town and his daughter Maisha, 15 -- were exhumed from their graves at Ghope Graveyard in Jessore town for post mortem yesterday afternoon.
At least seven people were killed and more than 30 injured in a petrol bomb attack on a passenger bus at Chouddogram in Comilla district on February 3 last year. Wife of Nuruzzaman Mashrufa Begum, 40, received burn wounds in the attack.
Nazmul Alam, executive magistrate of Jessore, said the bodies have been exhumed following a court order. “The bodies were sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital later on the day”, he added.
A three-member medical team, headed by Dr Hussain Safayet, of Jessore Medical College, conducted the post mortem examinations of the victims.
