Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) organised a three-day science fair on its campus in the capital yesterday, with slogan ‘in search of young scientists’.
770 young scientists from 80 schools, colleges and science clubs are participating in the fair with 265 projects.
State Minister for Science and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Yafesh Osman inaugurated the fair as the chief guest while Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh MP and Jamilur Reza Chawdhury, VC of the University of Asia and the Pacific were present as the special guests.
“We are moving fast towards progress. If the ongoing development can be sustained, our country will surely turn into a developed country by 2041. In this case, there is alternative to the practice of science,” said the minister.
He said “Digital Bangladesh is for all. No classification will hurt the humanity.
The soil has potentials. With the spirit of the youths we will take the country to a new height, the country will be based on science and technology.”
After the inauguration, the minister visited different stalls of the fair.
