Neela to appear in challenging role

Celebrated model-actress Nilanjana Neela, who was crowned runner up in the reality show titled ‘Lux-Channel i Superstar’ last year, has already acted in several tele-dramas and telefilms besides working in music video within a short span of her career. DhakaLive has news about her recent activities that this time around, the artiste has acted in a challenging role for a telefilm titled ‘Bihanga Balika’.
She will be seen appearing as a physically challenged girl in her new telefilm. She walks on a crutch for having a crippled leg. This is for the first time that she has played such a unique role, where she had to walk with a crutch.
Neela said about playing the role, “It was really a challenging character for me. But with everyone’s cordial cooperation, I have succeeded to accomplish my job. Enacting a role like this also very enjoyable.”
The telefilm has been written by Ferdous Hasan and directed by Sabur Khan. ‘Fair and Handsome’-famed actor AK Azad has shared the screen with Neela in the telefilm. Among others, Syed Hasan Imam, Dilara Zaman, Raisul Islam Asad, Siddique Master, Oishi Akter, Saddam Belal and Ramit Hasan also acted in the telefilm.
Director Sabur Khan revealed the story of the telefilm, “Everyone shows sympathy for Neela, when she comes to campus with her crippled leg. She gets very angry at one point, when her own classmate Azad avoids her. After getting introduced with Azad, Neela comes to know that her father has sent Azad’s father in prison for seven years. Suddenly, Azad wants to avenge his father’s punishment, and takes Neela to a quiet place for murdering her. The story will move forward from this point.
Neela-acted ‘Bihanga Balika’ will be aired on Channel i at 2:20pm on January 27.
